Beautiful vs Sexy

Every relationship I've ever had has been founded in lust and physical attraction. Around 2009, I went through a life change physically and spiritually. I wasn't happy with the person I was or the person I was becoming. Because of this I decided to be single and celibate until I meet the man that I'm supposed to marry.

I'm not sure whether I dreamed this or if I saw it somewhere on TV but I heard this question asked:Would you rather be called beautiful or sexy?
My answer: beautiful
Why?
Sexy, although still a compliment doesn't hold as much weight for me. When we say someone is sexy, we are basically saying we like the way they look and could see ourselves having sex with them. I mean "thank you." Depending on who the person is that is saying it, I probably feel the same way. But as I stated earlier that's not enough anymore.

Calling someone beautiful is a much more special compliment. Mainly because beauty or being beautiful is not just about looks. I mean there people who have a beautiful heart, beautiful spirit, beautiful laugh, beautiful way with children, a beautiful voice, beautiful way with words, etc. Beauty in this sense applies to anyone; man, woman, boy or girl. It's universal and grounded, which is why I prefer it over the term sexy. And I hope one day that'll meet a man who not only sees my beauty but allows me to see his as well.

God and Superman?

We will never understand God through human wisdom. (1 Cor. 1:18-31)
It's actually kind of silly to think we would be able to, thinking about all he's capable of. Why would the God of creation allow his power and glory to be as easily figured out as the scientific method or a mathematical equation?
Wouldn't that be like Superman walking down the street handing out kryptonite. If he did that it would never be any purpose in him putting on his cape, he might as well be Clark Kent all day. His super human abilities would be removed and he could potentially be replaced or defeated.
The same logic goes for God. If we could figure him out through our methods, we would try to take his place .( We know how that worked out for Satan).  Although many people and things(idols) in our lives already do.

Hate vs. Disagree

People in the world have the words hate and disagree mixed up. Just because you disagree with someone doesn't mean you hate them. And if you hate someone you don't really care to agree or disagree because your mind is already made up. For example, the KKK hates black people. They don't care if it's a black convict or a black missionary, the hate them both the same. < A mother can disagree with the profession her child chooses( teacher instead of doctor) but that doesn't mean she hates her child. I don't agree with people that do drugs( including smoking weed) but I don't hate them. If one of them came to me for help, I wouldn't turn them away, I would help them the best way I could. There is love in disagreement. Sometimes there is even protection in disagreement.For example, Parents may disagree with certain clothes their children may want to wear(mini skirt) or certain people they want to have out with(drug dealers),  in order to try to protect them from the dangers of the world and a bad reputation.
I personally believe that the reason so many people get upset when someone, especially a loved one disagrees with their lifestyle is because of conviction. There is a part of them that knows that the person is right and that what they are doing is wrong. Especially if that person's disapproval is based on the truth that is the word of God.
